Prop Accounts

Track Breakout evaluations and funded accounts — fees, drawdown limits, withdrawals, and business analytics.

Prop Accounts is the second tab inside the Journal. If you trade on a prop firm, this is where you set up accounts, track them through their lifecycle, and see business-level analytics across everything you've spent and earned.

Breakout-only

Prop account tracking is built specifically for Breakout. The plan configurations (1-Step and 2-Step, Classic / Pro / Turbo, $5k–$200k) are hardcoded so fee calculations and drawdown limits are always accurate. Other prop firms aren't currently supported.

The two sub-tabs

Inside the Prop Accounts tab, you'll find Accounts and Analytics.

  • Accounts — a card grid of every account you've added, sorted newest first. Click any card to open its detail panel.
  • Analytics — KPIs across all accounts (pass rate, breach rate, total fees, net P&L), spend over time, pass rate by plan type, and a full expense ledger with CSV export.

Adding an account

A 3-step wizard fired by the Add Account button.

Step 1 — Plan

Pick the eval type, plan type, and account size:

  • Eval Type — 1-Step or 2-Step
  • Plan Type — for 1-Step: Classic, Pro, or Turbo. 2-Step is Classic only
  • Account Size — ranges from $5k to $200k depending on the plan

A live Plan Summary card appears as soon as you've chosen all three. It shows the Step 1 goal (and Step 2 goal for 2-Step plans), max daily loss, and max drawdown.

Step 2 — Details

Confirm the purchase details:

  • Purchase Date — defaults to today
  • 90/10 Profit Split Add-on — toggle. The Total Paid display updates live to reflect the add-on cost
  • Nickname (optional) — e.g. “My Main $50k”. Shows wherever the account is referenced
  • Notes (optional) — free-form, up to 500 characters

Step 3 — Confirm

Review a read-only summary, then click Create Account. The account is saved and immediately available throughout the Journal.

Account status lifecycle

Statuses change as your account progresses. Transitions are made from the account's detail panel.

Transitioning to Funded

When you mark an account as Funded, the panel asks for three required fields: Eval Passed Date, Funded Start Date, and Starting Balance. The starting balance is what the drawdown bar measures equity against.

Trades-tab integration

When a prop account is active, the Trades tab gets two extras.

Active account banner

At the top of the Trades tab, a banner shows the currently active account along with its status badge. Use the dropdown to switch between active accounts, or pick Personal (no account) to log trades without attaching one. Your selection persists across sessions.

Below the account label, a progress bar adapts to the status:

  • Evaluation or Step 2 — progress toward the profit goal
  • Funded — equity remaining vs starting balance (drawdown bar)

Limit warnings (funded only)

For funded accounts, automatic warning banners appear above the trade form when you're approaching a limit:

Amber— you've used 75% or more of a limit. Consider sizing down or stopping for the day.
Red— you've used 90% or more of a limit. One more loss could breach this account.

Both daily-loss and max-drawdown limits are checked. Both warnings can appear at once if both are near their thresholds.

Auto-tagging

Any trade you log while a prop account is active gets that account automatically attached — no manual tagging. You can later filter the Trades tab by account or enable the Account column in the table view.

Analytics sub-tab

Business-level metrics across all your prop accounts.

Three optional Dashboard widgets surface prop info outside the Journal.

All three are hidden by default. Enable any of them via Customize on the Dashboard:
